This letter is to bring to your kind notice, that Maharshi Valmiki Gurukula Vidhyapeedom, the leading skill university of the country has launched skill development-focused B.VOC. Degree programmes, across various specializations as per the need of the hour. Over the last couple of years, skilling has become one of the primary focus points for the government and industry alike. The higher education system has to incorporate the requirements of various industries in its curriculum, in an innovative and flexible manner while developing a holistic and well-groomed graduate.
Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Degree with multiple exits and entry options to a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree, under the NSQF (National Skills Qualifications Framework). It provides students an opportunity to work in the Industry, along with completing the B.VOC. Degree program subjected to attaining academic credits as per the guidelines.

It has been noticed and researched that implementation of B Voc. Program among the employees leads to more employee retention as the employee thinks it is a career enhancement program by the employer itself. It Reduces attrition as a loyalty factor among the candidates pursuing B.Voc. is relatively higher.

3. Implementing NAPS
- The Corporate can also put the trainees of B Voc. The program under NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) which have multiple benefits for employers. The government will reimburse part of expenses incurred in providing Basic Training wherever necessary and also part of Stipend (25% of stipend Or Rs.1500 /month) paid to the Apprentices.
- Employers will not be required to cover Apprentices under Provident Fund and ESI scheme.
4. Joint Certification and Customization of Course Curriculum
There can be a joint certification of the entire program with the respective industry to boost the motivation of the trainee and there can be customization of the course curriculum too as per the respective industry/employer’s need to align with the training requirement of the organization.

Eligibility for Admission in B. Voc.
The eligibility for admission in three years B. Voc. degree program is 10+2 or equivalent, in any stream or 10th pass + 2years of ITI.
Level of Award
The certification leve1s lead to Diploma/Advanced Diplomas/B.Voc. Degree in one or more vocational areas and will be offered under the aegis of Maharshi Valmiki Gurukula Vidhyapeedom. This shown in the table below.
